Quality of education plays significant role in prosperity of a community

By Warda Irfan

Education is the most crucial indicator for life outcomes such as socioeconomic status, employment, income, and lifestyle.

People shape their social identity, framing their understanding of themselves and their relationship with others through their educational qualification.

It has been proven in the research of the psychological effect of differences in education that higher levels of education are associated with a wide range of positive outcomes including better health and wellbeing, higher social trust, greater political interest, and less hostile attitudes towards illiterate people. People who are satisfied with their educational qualifications are benefited psychologically.

Education affects our personal and community settings.

Education decreases poverty. If education is provided to poor people they can get a job, so they more likely to earn their bread and butter which are necessary for decreasing poverty. Education is inevitable for people living below the line of poverty.

Education can play a vital role in minimizing the gender gap. If men and women are given the same quality of education Women can be able to get equal opportunity of being successful in their academic and social aspects of life. This will end discrimination based on gender one day.

Education promotes health. Education provides awareness about various diseases like breast cancer, Thalassemia, HIV, and dengue fever. Education can act as a social vaccine for people.

Higher education improves the income of people. By earning sufficient income, people contribute to the country's economy as a whole. For the steady growth of the economy of a country, education should be a priority. In developing countries, if free education is provided to every citizen, the economy of the country will rise steadily.

In the end, I like to add Nelson Mandela's quote about the importance of Education

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
